Bill Simmons was the one national media guy who actually stood up for Seattle sports fans while the Sonics were being cut away with a rusty shank.

So it comes as no surprise that as 2008 — arguably the most horribly agonizing year in the history of Seattle sports — comes to a close, Bill throws us a bone one more time:
